" Perfect Mad River Valley Inn and Hosts –
Our stay at the Tucker Hill Inn in the Waterbury room was the perfect first covid escape for us. The Inn is a splendid location for summer, fall, and winter trips to the Mad River Valley. The room with its king size bed and wonderful bedding and small private bath were perfect. Steve and Susan, the owners have completely refreshed the Inn with all rooms and areas being freshly painted and what appears to be new floors in most areas. The fresh hot breakfast (home made) with unlimited hot coffee was the perfect start to the day (home made French Toast with REAL maple syrup!).
The Inn's location is ideal for exploring the Mad River Valley where there are always some activities to enjoy. The town of Waitsfield with its shopping, restaurants and artsy vibe is wonderful, the ski areas of Sugerbush and Mad River Glen and within 2 miles, hiking and biking trails are literally out the door from the Inn.
The evening dining is not to be missed at the Inn with guests and locals vying for seating so get a reservation. The tavern downstairs from the main dinning room is a quaint and cozy setting for dinner and has become the place to be on Friday and Saturdays for locals and area visitors. The Inn's parking lot fills with folks here to dine the wonderful food from Chef Steve!
The outdoor areas include a pool, fire pit, and beautiful flower gardens. The Inn has a covered area set up were we enjoyed our harvest from the Saturday morning Waitsfiled farmers market with friends we had not seen since the Covid Pandemic."

" Bed and Breakfast "done right"
The team of Susan, Steve and Rachel are so hospitable and accommodating. The Tucker Hill Inn is set away from the main road with well appointed rooms. Breakfast is different every day and delightful. Having a pub and restaurant with a wine connoisseur in charge lends itself to wonderful evening meals! Try the paella Tuesday for a delightful Spanish evening!"

" A Perfect Stay
I do many solo motorcycle runs and the Tucker Hill Inn was perfection. Susan was the perfect host with attention to every detail. Rachel was fantastic and made the evening at the lounge comfortable and welcoming. The pool, rooms, bedding, food, drinks, and everything that you would want at an Inn were all perfect. The downstairs bar was a total chill with great music and ambiance.
I will be back many times and hope they remain the owners for a long time.

" Excellent for Families or a Romantic Getaway
We absolutely had a blast at the Tucker Hill Inn. From check-in to check out, the hosts were exceptionally professional, attentive to our every request with a 1 year old, flexible and transparent about the facilities. They have beautiful grounds to visit in the summer with patios, a pub, a beautiful breakfast room and tasty breakfast provided. We spent a morning at the beautiful onsite pool, which was a big draw for us to stay here over other local B&Bs. If you have accessibility limitations, I recommend calling to get a ground floor room, which there are plenty of. Absolutely would stay here again!"
