After extensive redevelopment in 2006 Lincoln offers outstanding facilities to Sugarbush resort visitors in addition to the world-class skiing.

Just 5 minutes drive from the Tucker Hill Inn, Mad River Glen is one of the most unique ski areas in the country, famous for its legendary expert terrain, beautiful and varied beginner and intermediate trails, and of course, the nation's last surviving single chairlift.  The extensive Mad River Glen trail system follows the contours of General Stark mountain to a single base area, making it easy for families and friends to ski together.  Located in the "snow corner" of New England, Mad River Glen's typical 250 inches of annual snowfall combine with uncrowded slopes free of snowboarding, and a pristine mountain environment to create a skiing experience like no other.

Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing in the Mad River Valley

Ole's Cross Country & Snowshoe Center

The combination of snow and scenery in the Mad River Valley makes it perfect for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Discover 30 miles of moderately rolling trails groomed for classic cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.  Ole's is just a short drive from Tucker Hill and well equipped to meet all your cross country needs.

 Millbrook Trail and Catamount Trail

The well-marked Millbrook Trail starts at Tucker Hill and provides about 1.5 miles of excellent snowshoeing through the wonderful woods surrounding the Inn.  The second section of the Millbrook Trail forms part of the 300 mile Catamount Trrail giving guests access to North America's longest cross-country ski trail.  Open to the public in the winter, the Catamount Trail starts in Readsboro on the Massachusetts border and winds its way for 300 miles through the heart of the Green Mountains to North Troy on the Canadian border. Along the way, the trail connects eleven of Vermont's finest cross-country ski centers, and passes by many country inns and lodges. The Trail is accessible to skiers with a wide range of abilities and offers a variety of terrain from breath-taking mountain climbs to gently rolling fields and woodlands. Snowshoers are also welcome to use the Trail.

Blueberry Lake Cross Country Center

With 33K of trails for classic skiing, skating or snowshoeing, all trails are engineered and graded for the average skier’s ultimate enjoyment.  The trails are groomed every day and Blueberry Lake has  "snow farming" on all trails when mother nature becomes fickle.  Complete rentals and lessons available.  Open daily.
