Vermont Inns exuding the genuine warmth found at Tucker Hill Inn are seldom found. Extensive renovations have taken this charming Vermont bed and breakfast from a rustic lodge to one of the best Vermont inns in New England. With glowing fireplaces, pine paneling, intriguing antiques and huge beams in many of the spacious common areas, guests can truly relax in the casually elegant ambience and enjoy the comforts of one of the best Central Vermont Bed and Breakfast lodging establishments.
Nestled on 14 acres of woodland, Tucker Hill Inn enjoys a spectacular location immediately separating it from other Vermont Inns. The sounds of nature prevail year round and outside amenities include clay tennis courts, a secluded outdoor pool, gorgeous gardens and walking/snowshoe trails.
Built in the late 1940’s as a ski lodge to provide Vermont lodging for partakers of the exciting new sport of skiing at Mad River Glen and Sugarbush, there are few inns in Vermont that can boast being the past home of American Flatbread as well as world-renowned culinary icon, Gary Danko.
Your Innkeepers: Phill & Alison
Guests on TripAdvisor praise the genuine hospitality and thoughtfulness found at this Vermont Bed and Breakfast. Innkeepers Phill & Alison left their homeland of England telling friends they’d be ‘back shortly’ to buy a pub! A couple of decades or so later, after corporate lives in both New England and California, they purchased Tucker Hill Inn – one of the Vermont Inns they had so enjoyed lodging in during their early USA days
Prior to bed and breakfast ownership, Phill’s professional life was an executive in semiconductor technology products, traveling the world. These days he sleeps with his wife daily (a first in 20 years) and indulges in his passions for cooking, DIY and golf. While Human Resources was Alison’s prior life, creating houses into homes was her passion. With a gift for color and décor she’s Tucker Hill Inn’s interior designer as well as managing accounting, housekeeping and guest relations. Her laughter is a daily part of breakfast at theInn!
