Whether New England getaways and vacations are for few days or just one or two,  this lovely New England Inn in the heart of Vermont offers couples and families alike truly memorable vacations.  Wtih great on-site facilities, classic New England golf just moments away and Ben & Jerrys poised with ice cream for a Vermont rainy day treat, good times and great memories are yours to create.  Close to the Long Trail, great hikes include Camels Hump, Mount Abraham and Mount Mansfield.

We have two outdoor New England red clay courts located in the gardens of the Tucker Hill Inn, available for guest use at any time.  Racquets and balls are available  for your enjoyment while visiting our Inn.

Private coaching and instruction can be arranged with advance notice.

 

Swimming

Our pool opens for the Memorial Weekend and remains available to gueOutdoor pool at the Tucker Hill Vermont Country Inn Bed and Breakfaststs through Labor Day.  There is no Lifeguard on duty and swimmers using the facility do so at their own risk.

There are a number of truly beautiful swimming holes within 5 to 10 minutes of the Inn too for the more adventurous.  The Innkeepers will be happy to provide more insight.

 

Hiking and Walking Trails

The Mad River Path Association maintains several year round paths throughout the Mad River Valley.  These paths provide a variety of experiences and recreational opportunities, such as walking, hiking, running, biking and cross-country skiing.

One of the trails runs along the rear of the Tucker Hill Inn…you can access by turning left out of the Tucker Hill Inn parking lot and watching for the trail markers to your immediate left.

Millbrook Trail (A Mad River Path Association Trail)

Catamount trail runs through the grounds of the Tucker Hill InnPart of the Catamount trail system in Fayston, this trail meanders up and down the hill between Millbrook Lodge, past Tucker Hill Inn and onto German Flats Road, crossing into Hiddenwood (where there is an entrance to another Mad River Path Association trail) and ends at Mad River Barn, the northern most terminus of the trail.  The path is in a woodland of tall spruces, hemlock, birches and maples.  It crosses a small stream several times with rustic wooden bridges.
