Excellent locally owned restaurant in beautifully renovated barn, just 5 minutes from Tucker Hill.  Fine dining menu, casual dress.  Chef/Owner Adam Longworth built his credentials at the renowned Gotham Bar & Grill in NYC.   Open Thursday– Saturday from June 5th 2014 to August then Tuesday to Saturday through March 2015.    Menu: www.commonmanrestaurant.com  This restaurant is not affiliated with the NH chain of similar name.

Timbers at Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak Resort

American Flatbread

No Reservations but See Notes

Experience like no other.  100% local/organic produce.  The gardens offer fire pits and thought-provoking art.  Typical weekend wait-time 1-2 hours.  Open at 4.00 pm for “in-person” reservation requests.  Open Thursday – Sunday.  Route 100 South – 5 minutes from Tucker Hill.  Menu: www.americanflatbread.com

Peasant restaurant

Lovely Italian style restaurant featuring simple dishes full of flavor.  Open Thursday – Monday.  Pretty location next to Waitsfield covered bridge.  Menu: www.peasantvt.com

HydeAway Inn

The locals’ hangout just 500 yards further along Route 17.  Country dining room, varied menu.   Excellent local press September 2013 for new menu featuring locally based dishes.    Open 7 days.  Menu: www.hydeawayinn.com  Offers late night food Fridays and Saturdays

The Valley’s latest restaurant, opened Feb 2014.  Lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Sunday, as well as offering a mid afternoon apres ski menu.  Interesting flavorful menu and really tasty food.   On Route 100 just south of Waitsfield, close to American Flatbread.

Ake’s Den

No Reservations

Open for lunch and dinner.  Another local hangout.  Famous for the Den Burger as well as use of local produce and breads.  Open 7 days

Big Picture Theater & Café
